The package of documents signed in Beijing includes a memorandum of cooperation between the State Concern «Turkmengas» and CNPC

 Following the talks between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of China Xi Jinping, a package of bilateral documents was signed in Beijing, TDH reports today.

 The leaders of the two friendly states put their signatures under the Joint Statement of Turkmenistan and China.

 The State Concern «Turkmengas» and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the gas sector.

 Also, the Protocol was signed on making additions to the Agreement between the government of Turkmenistan and the government of the PRC on the establishment of the Turkmen-Chinese Cooperation Committee dated August 29, 2008;  Memorandum of Understanding to promote investment cooperation in the digital economy between the government of Turkmenistan and the government of the PRC;  Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and China for 2023-2024.

The governments of Turkmenistan and China also signed memorandums of understanding to promote investment cooperation in the field of green development, and to interface the international initiatives «Revival of the Great Silk Road» and «One Belt - One Road».

 A number of other signed documents provide for cooperation in the fields of culture, education, sports and the media.  Among other things, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakaev (Turkmenistan) and the China National Oil and Gas Corporation (PRC).

Turkmenistan's GDP growth rate for seven months amounted to 6.3%

The results of the seven months of the current year demonstrate the success of the programs implemented in Turkmenistan. A clear confirmation of this is the GDP growth rate, which amounted to 6.3% for the period under review. This was stated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting last Friday, where the results of the country's socio-economic development for January-July 2024 were discussed.
