«Rosgeo» will take part in the search and development of hydrocarbon deposits in Turkmenistan

 Within the framework of the Turkmen-Russian business forum held in Ashgabat on January 19-20, negotiations were held between the delegations of the State Concerns «Turkmengas», «Turkmennebit», the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» and the Russian holding company «Rosgeologiya» (Rosgeo).  The result was an agreement that Russian specialists would provide technological assistance in the exploration and development of Turkmen deposits of hydrocarbons and minerals.

 The Rosgeo delegation also visited Turkmenistan last November.  At that time, building up the country's hydrocarbon potential and discovering new deposits of solid minerals were identified as a priority area of ​​cooperation.

 Along with this, the parties intend to sign an Agreement on cooperation in the field of geological exploration for hydrocarbons and solid minerals between JSC «Rosgeo» and the State Corporation «Turkmengeology».  The corresponding agreement was reached during the 12th meeting of the Russian-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission in December 2022.

 In particular, Russian specialists offer their participation in projects for conducting 3D seismic surveys on free blocks of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea in the format of multi-client survey, search and justification of geological sites suitable for the construction of underground gas storage facilities, localization of oil fields in the northwest of the Amu Derya oil and gas basin in  non-anticlinal traps based on integrated seismic and electrical 3D survey, and other joint research and development in this area.

 Rosgeo is the largest geological holding in the Russian Federation with a developed production and technical potential.  The company performs all types of exploration and exploration work, starting with regional studies of all types of mineral resources and ending with the assessment of reserves and putting deposits into operation.

 The company has a unique competence in the field of offshore geological and offshore operations.
