In January Turkmenistan's GDP increased by 6.2% compared to the same month last year. This was said by Vice-Chairman Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, speaking last Friday at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
It was also reported that in comparison with the same period last year, the production of products increased by 5.8%.
In all sectors of the economy there are positive indicators. The volume of retail trade turnover increased by 9.5% compared to the same period in 2022. The revenue part of the state budget of Turkmenistan was executed at the level of 115.7%, and expenditure – 97.4%. For large and medium-sized enterprises, the average monthly salary in comparison with the same period last year increased by 10%. Wages, pensions, state allowances and student scholarships were timely financed, H. Geldimyradov added.
