Solemn celebrations of mothers of many children were held in Turkmenistan

 On the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, solemn ceremonies honoring mothers of large families were held in Turkmenistan.

 In Ashgabat and in all velayat centers of the country, solemn ceremonies were held to honor mothers who gave birth and raised eight or more children, who, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, were awarded the honorary title «Ene myahri».

 In addition, the keys to comfortable apartments were handed over to large families in a solemn atmosphere.

 This year, 285 representatives of the beautiful half of the Turkmen society were awarded the honorary title «Ene myahri».  This title is the highest distinction, great recognition of the mother's merits to society and the state, the invaluable contribution of wonderful women to the progress and prosperity of the Motherland.

 On the eve of International Women's Day, the ministries, departments and their structural subdivisions, institutions and organizations, enterprises of all forms of ownership held solemn ceremonies of presenting women with cash gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.  By tradition, they were received by all the fair sex, without exception, including students, schoolgirls and pupils of preschool institutions.

 Also, in honor of the holiday, musical and song celebrations, exhibitions, competitions and other events took place in all corners of our country.

 As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized in his congratulatory address on International Women's Day to mothers, women and girls of independent neutral Turkmenistan, “reverence for the mother as the support and honor of the family, an example of high morality is one of the primordial traditions of the Turkmen people.  Loyal to the Fatherland, people, home, pure in soul and hardworking women are our heritage, our wealth”.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting on expanding Turkmen gas export routes

The issues of expanding export routes for the supply of Turkmen natural gas were discussed at a meeting held on Tuesday by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the participation of Vice-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers for the fuel and energy complex, economy and foreign policy, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Preparations for the implementation of energy projects discussed at talks in Islamabad

The issues of practical implementation of the projects of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) power transmission lines were discussed in Islamabad by the delegation of Turkmenistan, which, on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is on a working visit to Pakistan on January 31 – February 4, informs the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

Tajikistan intends to increase imports of liquefied natural gas from Turkmenistan

Tajikistan, which has so far imported liquefied natural gas mainly from Kazakhstan and Russia, will now expand the geography of supplies, Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic Juma Daler said at a press conference, Interfax reports.
