 The results of the work of all sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan for the first quarter of 2023 were considered at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held on a digital system last Saturday.

 Ashirguly Begliev, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, reported on the results of the work of fuel and energy enterprises for January-March of this year. The report, in particular, provided information on the achieved technical and economic indicators for the extraction of oil and gas condensate, the production of lubricating oils, liquefied gas.

 It was noted that for the first quarter, the plan for the provision of oil by the State Concern “Turkmennebit” was fulfilled at the level of 101.9 percent, for oil refining at refineries – 103.6%, for the production of gasoline - 104.5%, diesel fuel – 108.6%, polypropylene – 104.5%.

 During the reporting period, the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas amounted to 104.5%, the export of “blue fuel” – 102.8%.

 After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of taking comprehensive measures to increase productivity and improve the operating capacity of fuel and energy enterprises.

 In accordance with the Investment Program for the current year, work should be carried out to implement the second stage of the development of the Galkynysh gas field, the head of state emphasized, ordering to take practical steps to implement large investment projects, developing new oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea and attracting foreign investment.

 The vice-premier was also instructed to properly prepare and hold at a high organizational level the upcoming International Investment Forum in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in April.
