Turkmenistan increased oil export to Azerbaijan by 4.4 times

In January-February 2023, Turkmenistan exported 119.2 thousand tons of crude oil to Azerbaijan, which is 4.4 times more compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
The total amount of deliveries amounted to $75.35 million.
In the first two months of last year, Turkmenistan sent 30.72 thousand tons of oil worth $17.11 million through the Caspian Sea.
Trade between the two countries is carried out through the largest transport hubs of the Caspian Sea – the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and the Baku International Sea Trade Port.
Demand for oil in 2022 will grow by 3.3 million barrels per day, the market will be in short supply – IEA
Demand for oil in 2021 increased by 5.5 million barrels per day, and in 2022 it will increase by 3.3 million bpd, Interfax and Bloomberg report citing a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
