The state concern “Turkmennebit” is working to attract foreign investors and companies to develop licensed blocks of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.  Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the measures being taken in this direction during a government meeting held by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov via digital system last Friday.

After listening to the report, the head of state focused on the priorities of the energy policy of Turkmenistan, the main goal of which is the most efficient use of the richest natural resources, accelerating the development of domestic deposits located on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea, increasing the productivity of geological exploration and drilling operations through the introduction of the latest scientific and technical developments and advanced  technologies that will increase hydrocarbon production.

Emphasizing the need for a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to solving all the tasks set, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the Vice-Chairman with a number of specific instructions related to the continuation of work in this direction.

It should be noted that investment opportunities in the implementation of offshore projects in our country were discussed during the International Forum on attracting investments in the energy sector of Turkmenistan, which took place on April 26-27 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Representatives of such well-known companies as Dragon Oil and Petronas shared their successful experience in the development of offshore fields in Turkmenistan at the forum.

During the field forum, its participants were presented with new geological and other data on a number of licensed blocks in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.
