The President of Turkmenistan Discusses Interstate Cooperation Issues with the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan

Topical issues of interstate trade and economic cooperation were discussed on Wednesday, at a meeting between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov, who is on a visit to Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the guest conveyed warm words of greetings from the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Head of Turkmenistan. Taking this opportunity, Mikayil Jabbarov congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov on being awarded the high title of Hero of Turkmenistan, which had become an obvious recognition of national love and respect.

In turn, the Head of Turkmenistan conveyed his best wishes to the top leadership and people of the friendly country, expressing confidence that the meetings and negotiations to be held during the current visit would make a significant contribution to the development of the economic ties between the two countries.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction that cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan was developing very dynamically due to the significant potential of the two countries and their readiness for long-term fruitful partnerships.

During the meeting, the interlocutors noted the achieved high level of the interstate dialogue, built on the basis of equality, trust and mutual understanding. According to the mutual opinion, the Turkmen-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation plays a major role in the development of the bilateral relations.
