Participants of the Turkmen-American business forum discussed the possibilities of enhancing mutually beneficial partnership

Opportunities for increasing mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed at the 10th Turkmen-American Business Forum held in Ashgabat on Tuesday, which was attended by leaders and representatives of relevant government and business structures of the two countries.
The business meeting, held in the capital's Yildiz Hotel in a round table format, demonstrated the commitment of Turkmenistan and the United States to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation that meets common interests.
The delegation that arrived in Ashgabat, headed by the executive director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council Eric Stewart, included executives and representatives of well-known companies, including Case New Holland Industrial, Climate Compass LLC, Honeywell, John Deere, Palo Alto Networks, Visa, Westport Trading Europe Ltd.
During the forum, the importance of such meetings for the development of trade and economic cooperation and stimulation of investment activity was emphasized. It was noted that leading American companies have been successfully operating in strategically important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan for many years. At the same time, the high interest of US business circles in deepening cooperation with Turkmenistan was confirmed.
The work of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council, created in 2008, was noted, which has become an effective mechanism for the development of bilateral economic relations built with a long-term perspective.
Among the priority areas of partnership are the energy sector, transport and communications, the agro-industrial complex, and the area of high technology. There are good opportunities for cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources. The investment sector is also a promising vector of interaction.
During the forum, approaches to realizing the potential of trade and economic partnership were reviewed and identified, plans for joint work in key areas were outlined. At the same time, confidence was expressed in the further successful development of Turkmen-American interaction, which has gained new dynamics in recent years.
As part of the business forum, meetings between heads of a number of industry structures of Turkmenistan and American partners also took place. During the negotiations, prospects for interaction in the industrial, oil and gas and transport and communications sectors, electric power industry, financial and banking, trade, agriculture, ecology, etc. Were discussed. At the same time, special emphasis was placed on the intensification of business ties.
One of the results of the joint business forum was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and Case New Holland Industrial.
