The draft Investment Program of Turkmenistan for 2024 was reviewed at a government meeting

 The draft investment program of Turkmenistan for 2024 was presented at a government meeting last Friday.  This project was presented to the head of state by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamammedov.

 As the Vice-Chairman noted, the investment program for 2024 includes projects such as the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, a new airport in the Balkan region, a combined power plant with a capacity of 1574 MW, the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway, a bridge across the Garabogaz Bay,  the second stage of Arkadag - the first “smart” city in the country and the Central Asian region.

 - In order to improve the living conditions of the population, large volumes of investment will be directed to the construction of social facilities, in particular, residential buildings, healthcare institutions, secondary schools and kindergartens, highways, water, gas, energy supply and communication systems, water treatment facilities, - Vice-Chairman said.

 In this context, the draft Resolution “On approval of the Investment Program of Turkmenistan for 2024” was presented to the head of state for consideration.

 After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the investment program for 2024 includes comprehensive measures aimed at developing industrial sectors, creating new enterprises, further strengthening food abundance, and ensuring social protection of the population.

 In order to successfully implement the practical steps provided for by the investment program for 2024, the head of state instructed the Vice-Chairman to review the presented project again.
