The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan discussed prospects for cooperation in the electric power and oil industries in Dubai

 The prospects for cooperation in the electricity and oil sectors were discussed on Monday at meetings of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the leadership of a number of government agencies of the UAE.

 In particular, at a meeting on February 12 with the Managing and Executive Director of the Dubai Electrification and Water Supply Department (DEWA), Saeed Al Tayer, the parties discussed cooperation in the water and electricity sectors and the prospects for its development.  In this regard, cooperation on the use of renewable energy sources has been identified as a promising area of interaction, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on Tuesday.

 On the same day, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit, Rashid Meredov met with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the UAE, Director General of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.

 During the negotiations, the importance of developing relations in the oil industry, as well as establishing cooperation in introducing advanced UAE technologies in this industry, was emphasized.

 Based on the agreements reached at the level of the leadership of the two states, the parties discussed specific steps for their implementation, outlining a number of activities for the near future.

 The meeting was also attended by Mohammed Jamil Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (MASDAR).
