President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the head of the Italian company Leonardo S.p.A. on Tuesday. Stefano Pontecorvo, according to TDH.
During the meeting, the businessman noted the interest of Italy's business circles in building up ties with Turkmenistan, implementing large-scale programs and projects in various industries.
At the same time, it was emphasized that Italian President Sergio Mattarella and the country's leadership attach great importance to strengthening the bilateral partnership. In this context, the readiness of the Leonardo S.p.A. company was confirmed. to further development of cooperation with Turkmenistan.
- Italy is one of the important partners of Turkmenistan in Europe, said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, noting the progressive dynamics in interstate relations.
In this regard, the head of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the bilateral negotiations planned during the visit of the head of Leonardo S.P.A. in Ashgabat, will contribute to the expansion of business cooperation.
In the context of the discussion of priority areas of the Partnership, it was noted that productive contacts established between Turkmenistan and Italian companies in the trade and economic sphere, energy and other industries, as well as in the private sector, play a significant role in strengthening interstate dialogue.
During the meeting, the possibilities of using the potential of satellite communications are also considered. In this context, it was noted that Turkmenistan is ready to consider the specific proposals of the Leonardo S.p.A. company.
During the meeting, it was also emphasized that Turkmenistan and Italy successfully interact both on a bilateral and multilateral basis, within the framework of authoritative international organizations, including the UN and its specialized structures. Italy supports Turkmenistan initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable development.
