On February 16, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, at which the results of the work of sectors of the national economy for January of this year were summed up.
During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the results of work in the oil and gas sector for January of this year.
In particular, it was reported on the technical and economic indicators achieved in the field of natural and associated gas production, as well as the export of “blue fuel”.
It was reported that during the period under review, the plan for the production of oil and gas condensate was fulfilled at the level of 100.3 percent, in particular, by the State Concern “Turkmennebit” – at 100.1 percent.
The implementation of the plan for oil refining at the oil refineries of the State Concern “Turkmennebit” amounted to 101.9 percent.
The Vice-Chairman said that over the past month the plan for the production of gasoline was fulfilled at the level of 101.1 percent, diesel fuel – 104 percent, polypropylene – 103.5 percent, lubricating oils – 114.5 percent. The growth rate for liquefied gas production was 109.6 percent.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of implementing comprehensive measures to increase the volume of natural gas and oil production in the country and the effective functioning of production facilities.
It is necessary to increase the pace of geological exploration and drilling work, the head of state said, addressing the Vice-Chairman with a number of specific instructions.
