The accession of Turkmenistan to the WTO will allow attracting foreign investment, - MFA

Turkmenistan’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) as an observer will help attract foreign investment through transparency and guarantees for investors, said Vice Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hadzhiev at the next session of the online seminar on the accession of new members to the WTO, the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry

Participation in the WTO as an observer will contribute to the integration of Turkmenistan into international economic structures, attracting investments from abroad, ensuring guarantees and transparency for investors and trading partners, and will strengthen the country's position on commercial issues, Khadzhiev said.

They also participated in the webinar representatives of a number of departments and organizations of the public and private sectors, scientists from member countries and observers of the WTO. This session is part of webinars on the process of accession to the WTO of Eurasian countries through the exchange of information, recommendations and expectations of the parties, who expressed their intentions to join the WTO as a member or observer. The parties also discussed a number of issues on further cooperation, exchanged recommendations and views on the procedure for joining the WTO.
