The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan has posted the production calendar for 2025 on its website. According to the calendar, in 2025, Turkmenistan will have 12 non-working holidays:

– January 1 – New Year,

– March 8 – International Women's Day,

– March 21-22 – National Spring Holiday Nowruz,

– March 30 – Oraza Bayram,

– May 18 – Day of the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the State Flag of Turkmenistan,

– June 6-7-8 – Eid al-Adha,

– September 27 – Independence Day of Turkmenistan,

– October 6 – Remembrance Day,

– December 12 – International Day of Neutrality.

On the eve of these days, working hours will be reduced by 1 hour in accordance with Article 61 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan.

Ministries and departments, public associations of Turkmenistan, hyakimliks of velayats, the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as legal entities and individuals of the non-governmental sector are notified that working hours are calculated according to the calendar of a five-day 40-hour work week, based on an 8-hour work day, a six-day 40-hour work week, based on a 7-hour work day, and a six-day 36-hour work week, based on a 6-hour work day.

The Ministry of Labor also reminds that in accordance with Article 62 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan, when drawing up work schedules, it is necessary to keep in mind that the duration of work at night is reduced by 1 hour. Therefore, for those working in three shifts with a five-day work week with two days off, the annual working time fund is reduced at the rate of 1 hour for each night shift.

The duration of night work is equalized with daytime work in cases where this is necessary due to production conditions, in particular, in continuous production, as well as in shift work with a six-day work week with one day off. In this regard, for the recalculation of hourly wage rates, the average monthly duration of working time (in hours) in 2025 will be: for a 40-hour work week – 167.6 for a 36-hour work week – 150.5.
