The Second Central Asian Oil and Gas Forum will take place in Tashkent on October 15-16, the Turkmenportal online publication reports.
The Second Central Asian Oil and Gas Forum will be held at the Hyatt Regency Tashkent Hotel. Its organizer is the international company GLENMAR, with UNG Overseas (a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSC Uzbekneftegaz) serving as the official co-organizer and the Centrum Logistics Group as the organizational partner; the event is supported by the Commodity Trading Club.
The forum program features five discussion tracks: the region’s oil and gas resources; cross-border trade routes and logistics; oil refining and new sales markets; investment and risk management; and public-private partnerships.
During the forum, it is also planned to discuss a project aimed at integrating the gas transmission systems of the region’s five countries. The Central Asian Gas Ring Concept was proposed by Kazakhstani expert Askar Ismailov during the First Oil and Gas Forum held in Tashkent in October 2025. The project envisions a unified network, modeled after the Unified Energy System, the construction of new sections and the modernization of existing gas pipelines totaling over 3,000 kilometers in length.
According to the project’s initiator, integrating the gas transmission systems of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan would enable the balancing of seasonal supplies and the ensuring of an uninterrupted gas supply.
The first forum was attended by over 150 executives and experts from Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East and other regions.
