At the government meeting, which President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held last Friday on the digital video communication system, the results of the work for January-February 2021 of all sectors of the national economy, including the oil and gas complex, were summed up.
Vice Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shahym Abdrakhmanov made a report for the corresponding period. As noted, the plan for oil refining was fulfilled by 100.5%, the production of gasoline-by 105.9%, diesel fuel – by 102.3%, polypropylene-by 103.3%, lubricating oils – by 104.6%, natural and associated gas production – by 110.2%, the export of "blue fuel" – by 108.5%, the development of investments-by 118.8%.
After hearing the report, the President noted that despite the necessary support provided by the state to the oil and gas complex, there is no positive dynamics in the work of these industries. The state-owned concerns "Türkmengaz" and "Türkmennebit", as well as the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries; almost all industry departments cannot consistently fulfill planned tasks.
The Head of State instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carefully analyze the current situation and submit proposals for improving the work of the supervised industries. The President suggested that, if necessary, new leaders should be found – young, capable, who will work hard and direct all their efforts for the benefit of the cause and for the benefit of the country.
