Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan intend to expand cooperation in the fuel and energy complex, textile industry, food

 The possibilities of developing trade and economic ties were discussed at a meeting between Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Energy and Industry of Kyrgyzstan Kubanychbek Turdubaev, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit, the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.

 During the conversation, the parties noted the positive dynamics of the development of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields. The importance of high-level visits in the development of interstate relations was emphasized. During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the further development of trade and economic ties.

 The parties expressed interest in expanding partnerships in the field of energy and industry, textile industry, food trade and others.

 The interlocutors also exchanged views on promising projects in the oil and gas sector. In this context, the importance of the work of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Kyrgyz commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation, aimed at working out specific issues of bilateral interaction, was noted.

 Turdubaev also met with the heads of a number of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan.
