Allaberdy Ilyasov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, spoke about the possibility of launching the production of the innovative AI-100 automotive fuel at the Seydi Refinery, reports CentralAsia.news.
In his opinion, the start of production of this type of gasoline will significantly transform the qualitative growth of the technological level of the domestic oil refining industry.
Numerical indexes in gasoline brands indicate the octane number of the fuel, that is, its detonation resistance when the fuel-air mixture is compressed in the cylinders. The higher the octane number of gasoline, the more it is possible to compress the fuel-air mixture in the cylinders without fear of detonation. High-octane fuel makes it possible to create high-powered engines capable of providing high power and moderate fuel consumption with a small cylinder volume, which meets modern economic and environmental requirements.
The unique composition of the AI-100 high-octane fuel will make it possible to fully unleash the potential of modern highly accelerated engines and increase their efficiency.
The component composition of AI-100 fuel differs significantly in comparison with AI-95 gasoline. The fuel contains an increased amount of high quality deposit control components and a unique multipurpose detergent additive that keeps the fuel system clean while the direct injection engine is running.
According to experts from foreign companies, after 100 hours of engine operation, which is equivalent to 6000 km of run, the use of AI-100 fuel avoids coking in the injectors and reduces the gasoline injection time. As a result, a more complete and efficient combustion of gasoline is provided, the engine life and its economy remain at the same level as a new car.
During the development of the AI-100 fuel, the component composition of the fuel was significantly changed, compared to the AI-95: the content of aromatic hydrocarbons was reduced, the involvement of high-quality components with a low tendency to form deposits increased. Its application provides fuel economy and additional kilometers of mileage on one fuel tank, improving the dynamics of the car, including due to a higher rate of fuel combustion.
The new products will comply with national and international standards.
The creation of a new product becomes possible thanks to the implementation of a large-scale program to modernize oil refining facilities in Turkmenistan. Calculations have shown that the production of a new type of gasoline at the refinery is possible if the hydro isomerization process is included in the scheme.
Hydrogenation processes are relatively cheap in terms of operating costs. Reconstruction of the unit with the proposed hydro treating of gasoline and reforming of gasoline to obtain a high-octane component, as well as de-aromatization of gasoline, will make it possible to produce high-quality refined products.
The use of modern solutions during the reconstruction of the installation will significantly reduce energy consumption during operation, increase the yield and quality of products in comparison with previously designed standard installations. The set of technical solutions and measures presented in the technical project will ensure reliability, efficiency, safe operation of the facility, as well as environmental protection.
