Turkmenistan celebrates 33rd anniversary of Independence Day

Today, September 27, Turkmenistan celebrates the 33rd anniversary of Independence Day. This significant holiday has become a symbol of achieving sovereignty and strengthening national unity. As part of the celebrations, festive events are taking place throughout the country today, including a large-scale parade, cultural programs, and concerts.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated his compatriots on the national holiday - the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence."With all my heart, I congratulate you on the national holiday - Independence Day of Turkmenistan, which is widely and solemnly celebrated throughout our beautiful Motherland!" the President's address, published on September 27 in the central media of our country, says.
"Thirty-three years ago, the world community recognized Turkmenistan as an independent state. Since then and to this day, the annals of the Fatherland are filled with glorious achievements: the intended goals are being achieved, radically changing the lives of each of us, our country is consistently strengthening its position among the progressive states of the planet,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted.“Following the dream of our ancestors to build a national power capable of uniting society, we are consistently strengthening the foundations of a new democratic, legal and secular state. At the same time, we are gradually taking measures to turn Turkmenistan into one of the sustainably developing countries in the world,” the President emphasized.
“For several decades, we have been successfully implementing comprehensively developed programs to improve the standard and quality of life of our courageous people, create a competitive national economy, and comprehensively develop the Fatherland,” the head of state noted.“Along with expanding mutually beneficial partnerships, we are intensifying a comprehensive dialogue with countries of the world and international organizations in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields. Such cooperation is friendly, open and multilateral in nature," the President of Turkmenistan mentioned in his address.On this day, a festive parade was held in Ashgabat in front of the State Tribune Complex.
Before this, early in the morning, a flower-laying ceremony was held at the Monument of Independence of Turkmenistan, which was attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, leaders and representatives of the government, parliament, public organizations, political parties, elders, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Ashgabat and foreign guests of the holiday.
On the eve of the holiday, ceremonies honoring the best employees of enterprises, organizations and institutions of Turkmenistan were held in the Turkmen capital in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence. According to the Decrees of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in honor of Turkmenistan Independence Day, a group of citizens of the country were awarded orders, medals, and honorary titles for special services to the state and society.
