Drillers of the “Nebitgazburawlayysh” trust of the State Concern “Turkmennebit” put into operation a new well No. 85 at the Uzynada field, with a depth of 6,830 meters, the daily flow rate of which was 70 tons of oil condensate and 75 thousand cubic meters of natural gas.

The Uzynada field is a striking example of the successful and efficient operation of enterprises in the oil and gas industry of our country during the years of independence. The first exploratory well at the Uzynada field, with a depth of 7,150 meters, was drilled in May 2017. Then, an industrial flow of oil condensate with a daily flow rate of 200 tons and 500 thousand cubic meters of gas was obtained. To date, a number of exploratory and production wells have been drilled at the Uzynada field by the State Concern “Turkmennebit” and the State Corporation “Turkmengeology”, obtaining industrial flows of hydrocarbons.

According to Turkmen specialists, the discovery and successful operation of the Uzynada field, located near the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, greatly increases the potential for discovering new deposits on the shelf, which increases the attractiveness of developing promising license blocks for foreign investment.

Currently, the oil assets of the State Concern “Turkmennebit” include more than 30 fields, which are at various stages of development. The development of fields in western Turkmenistan is carried out taking into account the peculiarities of their geological structure, as well as using modern equipment and innovative technologies, which makes it possible to drill wells more than 7 thousand meters deep to search for hydrocarbons. In order to extract hard-to-reach oil from long-developed fields, and to bring previously inaccessible deep-lying oil horizons into development, the concern is undergoing a comprehensive modernization of its entire technological production. In this regard, successful cooperation is being carried out with Schlumberger, Yug-Neftegaz Private Limited (Singapore), Tatneft (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation) and others. As reported at a meeting of the government of Turkmenistan on February 7, by the end of 2024, oil production in the country amounted to 8 million 279.7 thousand tons.
