Ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Austria in Pakistan Discuss Development of Bilateral Cooperation

On August 12, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan reported that major international energy projects were the focus of a meeting between Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, and the new Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Pakistan, Wolfgang Oliver Kucher.

Special attention during the meeting was given to major international energy projects, including TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) and TAP (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan). The embassy noted that these initiatives were highlighted not only for their role in diversifying the export routes of Turkmen energy resources but also for their contribution to strengthening regional energy security and interconnectivity.

During the meeting, both sides held comprehensive discussions on the current regional situation, exchanging views on key issues of the regional agenda.

The Turkmen side outlined the main priorities of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy in the regional context, emphasizing its commitment to the principles of neutrality, good neighborliness, and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Turkmenistan’s dedication to actively participating in the development of multilateral cooperation aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and trust among regional countries was also noted.

In conclusion, both sides expressed mutual interest in maintaining active diplomatic engagement and further strengthening friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Austria.
