Prospects for Turkmen-Pakistani cooperation discussed in Islamabad

A meeting with representatives of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by its Secretary General, Shahid Khalil, was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad.
During the meeting, representatives of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed interest in strengthening working contacts with the Embassy of Turkmenistan to explore opportunities for expanding practical cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
In turn, the Turkmen side informed the delegation of the reforms being implemented by the Turkmen leadership, which are providing a powerful impetus to the development of foreign trade relations and facilitating the country's deeper integration into the global economic space.
In this context, Turkmenistan's growing trade and export potential, based on its significant natural gas reserves, as well as the export of petroleum products, textiles, and agricultural products, was noted.
Special attention was paid to the international business forums planned for this year, which are bringing together hundreds of business representatives from around the world.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in expanding mutually beneficial trade between the two countries and in the participation of business representatives in joint forums and exhibitions aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation, according to the International Information Center of Turkmenistan.
