Issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy were discussed at a meeting of the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Vienna with the newly appointed Director General of the United Nations for Industrial Development (UNIDO) Gerd Muller, the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported on Friday.

In particular, the meeting touched upon issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation with UNIDO on ongoing and new projects, joint activities in the field of hydrogen energy.

Muller noted that UNIDO attaches great importance to relations with Turkmenistan, stating the importance of strengthening cooperation in interested areas. 

The Director General of the Organization was informed about major economic projects initiated by Turkmenistan. In this regard, it was noted that Turkmenistan pays special attention to strengthening cooperation in the field of green initiatives to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
