18 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
Entrepreneurs from Turkey and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, as well as ECO-93 gasoline (SC «Turkmenchemistry») for foreign currency.
The highest demand last week was for ECO-93 gasoline, the price of which, according to the results of the last auction, reached $1,028 per tonne and increased by 4.9% compared to the price the week before last, Orient notes.
In total, last week foreign businessmen purchased 130,000 tons of ECO-93 gasoline from natural gas for a total of $132.7 million.
Also, businessmen from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan purchased cotton yarn and denim for foreign currency.
The total amount of all foreign exchange transactions amounted to over 134 million 755 thousand US dollars.
For manats, representatives of business circles from the United Arab Emirates purchased cotton yarn in the amount of 973,500 manats.
Also last week, a deal was concluded for the purchase of 3,000 tons of liquefied gas at $496 per ton. The price of LNG increased by 4% compared to the week before last.
