President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations and best wishes to Yoshihide Suga on his election to the post of Prime Minister of Japan.
“I am confident that under your leadership, Japan will reach new frontiers in political and socio-economic development, strengthen its authority in the international arena,” the President of Turkmenistan stressed.
Noting the positive dynamics of the interstate dialogue, the Turkmen leader emphasized that over the past years, bilateral cooperation has reached a qualitatively new level.
“Today our countries successfully interact in a wide range of areas. I am confident that thanks to our joint efforts, the Turkmen-Japanese relations, which are of a strategic nature, will continue to develop dynamically for the benefit of our peoples,” the message says.
It should be noted that one of the priority areas of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation is the oil and gas sector. Japanese companies participated in the implementation of a number of projects for the construction in our country of large enterprises for the processing of hydrocarbons and the production of finished products of oil and gas chemistry.
Among them is a large gas-chemical complex for processing natural gas and producing eco-friendly synthetic gasoline ESO-93, which was commissioned in June 2019 in the Akhal region. This project was implemented jointly by the state concern "Turkmengas" and a consortium of companies "Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd." (Japan) and "Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanaýi ve Ticaret A. Ş." (Turkey).
At the end of August this year, during an online meeting of the heads of the SC “Turkmengas” with the management of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. the possibilities of enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of new investment projects in the oil and gas sector were discussed.
