The International Forum on Attracting Investments in the Fuel and Energy Complex of Turkmenistan started in Dubai

Today, the International Forum on attracting foreign investment in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan began its work at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). It is organized by the State Concerns “Turkmengas”, “Turkmennebit”, the State Corporation “Turkmengeology” in partnership with the ES “Turkmen Forum” and the British GaffneyCline.
The official greeting of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the forum participants was read by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Ashyrguly Begliev.
In his greeting, the head of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the Forum in Dubai would make it possible to more actively attract investments in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan, which has colossal reserves of hydrocarbon resources, to establish and promote cooperation with leading foreign companies, and to introduce the latest scientific achievements into production.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also outlined priority projects in the Turkmen fuel and energy sector, which will be of great interest to foreign investors. Among them are the construction of the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI), the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline, the development of the giant Galkynysh gas field, licensed blocks in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, the construction of new natural gas processing complexes and others.
The plenary session of the forum is dedicated to the role of Turkmenistan in the future of global energy. At it, delegates discuss the current state of ongoing projects in Turkmenistan related to the development of hydrocarbon deposits, their transportation and the construction of high-tech processing enterprises.
Among the speakers of the plenary session were Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State of the UAE, Batyr Amanov, Chairman of the Türkmengaz State Concern, Serdarmammet Garajayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the UAE, Wang Guihai, President of the Middle East Company at CNPC, Laurent, Senior Vice President of Total Energies Vivier and others.
On the first day of the forum, three sessions will be held, which will be devoted to the investment opportunities of the Turkmen energy sector on land, the environmental aspects of the development of hydrocarbon deposits, as well as the prospects for domestic and regional development of the energy market.
For two days, Turkmenistan will be the focus of attention of the participants of the international meeting, which will bring together leading national and more than 200 international energy companies, experts who shape the future of the oil and gas industry not only in Turkmenistan, but also in the Eurasian region as a whole.
