The GDP growth rate of Turkmenistan for January-July amounted to 6.2%

In January-July 2023, the GDP growth rate of Turkmenistan amounted to 6.2%. Information about this was announced at a government meeting held last Friday on a digital system.
Vice-Chairman Hodjamyrat Geldimyradov said that as a result of the practical steps taken, a stable GDP growth rate was ensured over the indicated period, which increased by 6.2%. The volume of manufactured products compared to the same period in 2022 increased by 6.3%.
Retail turnover increased by 9.4% compared to the same period last year, foreign trade turnover increased by 4.9%.
In January-July this year, the revenue part of the State budget of Turkmenistan was executed at the level of 113%, and the expenditure part – 97.9%.
Compared to the same period in 2022, for seven months of this year, the volume of capital investments disbursed from all sources of financing increased by 27.6%, the Vice-Chairman said.
After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the need to carry out appropriate work to maintain a high GDP growth rate in Turkmenistan.
