The XXVIII International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2023” (OGT 2023), which will be held on October 25-27 in Ashgabat, takes an active position in covering the latest events related to the energy transition, being a platform for voicing expert opinions and strengthening partnerships and developing strategies.

CNPC began its work in Turkmenistan with oil and gas investments and the provision of engineering and technical services in oil and gas fields in 2002. In 2007, a Production Sharing Agreement was signed for the contract territory “Bagtyyarlyk” and a contract for the purchase and sale of natural gas between the State Concern “Turkmengas” and CNPC. In August of the same year, a project for the development of a field on the right bank of the Amu Darya River was officially launched.
The project is being implemented in the contract territory of Bagtyyarlyk, which includes sections A and B. During the work carried out, pipelines, a gas collection station, a general gas collection station, a purification plant were built, and the pumping of commercial natural gas into the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline was established.
