On the agenda of the Turkmen-Chinese intergovernmental committee are issues of cooperation in the field of fuel and energy complex, transport and other areas

 Current issues of interstate cooperation in the field of fuel and energy complex, transport, agriculture and other areas will be considered at the 6th meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee, scheduled to be held on November 29 in Ashgabat.

 Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov reported on preparations for the upcoming meeting of this committee at a government meeting last Friday.

 The agenda of the next meeting of the Committee will include current issues of interstate cooperation in such areas as the oil and gas sector, transport and logistics, agriculture, chemical and textile industries, science and education, high technology, healthcare, Rashid Meredov noted.

 Following the meeting, it is planned to sign the corresponding Protocol.

 As the Vice-Chairman noted, relations between the two countries are of a strategic nature.  In order to strengthen and expand mutually beneficial interstate partnership, develop Turkmen-Chinese relations in new promising areas, on the basis of a bilateral Agreement, a corresponding Committee was created, within the structure of which there are 6 specialized subcommittees.  To date, five of its meetings have taken place.

 After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the multifaceted nature of bilateral cooperation, which Turkmenistan intends to continue to increase.  In this regard, the head of Turkmenistan instructed to ensure proper organization of the 6th meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese intergovernmental committee.
