The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan discussed with the Minister of Oil of Iran the prospects for cooperation in the energy sector

 The prospects for cooperation in the energy sector were discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Oil of Iran Javad Ovji, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on Friday.

 During the meeting held on Thursday at the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan, current issues and prospects for cooperation in the energy sector were discussed.

 In this context, mutual interest was noted in increasing interaction between the relevant departments of Turkmenistan and Iran.  The presence and possibilities of realizing the energy potential of the two friendly countries were also emphasized, the Foreign Ministry notes.
