Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed priority areas of cooperation with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on December 3 during his working visit to Saudi Arabia, TDH reports.
The head of the People's Council of Turkmenistan and the head of the government of Saudi Arabia, discussing priority areas of interstate relations, noted the rapid growth of bilateral cooperation.
As noted, Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia are united by close or similar approaches to important issues on the international agenda, which serves as a reliable basis for coordinating mutual efforts in the international arena.
During the discussion of the prospects for bilateral partnership, it was emphasized that both countries effectively cooperate within the framework of international organizations, primarily the UN and other authoritative structures. In this regard, the significance of the current «One Water» summit and the specific proposals put forward by Turkmenistan were noted.
The interlocutors confirmed that they intend to further strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations, expand cooperation in the energy, transport and communications sectors.
