On January 1, 2025, a boy weighing 4 kilograms 100 grams and measuring 54 cm was born to the family of Orazjahan and Yazmergen Atageldyev in the city of Arkadag. The baby, named Parahat, which means «Peace» in Turkmen, became the first newborn in Turkmenistan in the new year.
As reported by the newspaper «Neutral Turkmenistan», the birth took place in the Center for the Protection of Mother and Child Health of the «smart» city. The mother and baby are under the supervision of highly qualified medical personnel in a state-of-the-art clinic.
On the occasion of the birth of the first child of the International Year of Peace and Trust, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people sent congratulations and gifts to the family.
Orazjahan Atageldyeva, the baby's mother, noted: «Today is a great day for me – I have become a mother again! At the same time, it is a great honor for me to be called the mother of the first child in the country of the coming year, the motto of which is «International Year of Peace and Trust». That is why we decided to name our son Parakhat, which is translated from the Turkmen language as «Peace».
