At a meeting on September 9 with the new Ambassador of France to Turkmenistan Alena Grand, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed our country’s readiness to jointly implement promising new projects across a range of areas, TDH reports.
The President noted that France is one of Turkmenistan’s key partners in Europe. Ashgabat attaches great importance to developing cooperation in the trade, economic, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The Head of State remarked that the level of mutual trust achieved opens up new horizons for the further expansion of trade and economic ties. In this context, the President confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to jointly implement promising new initiatives in sectors such as energy, transport and logistics infrastructure, science and culture.
Discussing bilateral cooperation, Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the Turkmen-French relations are consistently developing based on the principles of mutual trust, respect and openness. This interaction is not limited to the interstate level but is also actively developing through the private sectors of both countries.
For her part, Alena Grand noted that France attaches great importance to the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan, a country successfully pursuing a foreign policy based on the principles of positive neutrality and peacefulness.
During the meeting, the French Ambassador presented her credentials to the President of Turkmenistan.
