The European vector remains on the agenda of Turkmenistan International Energy Cooperation – Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov

European vector has been and remains on the agenda of Turkmenistan International Energy Cooperation, Chairman Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, speaking on Friday in Berlin at a meeting of the heads of delegations of Central Asia and the Eastern Committee of Economy of Germany, reports TDH.

As Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized, an important area of cooperation for Turkmenistan is energy, which includes the gas and electricity industries priority positions. “It should be especially noted that the European vector was and remains on the agenda of Turkmenistan International Energy Cooperation. In this context, I want to confirm the firm position of Turkmenistan on gas supplies to Europe through the construction of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty noted that “a lot has been done for this in the last 15 years, a systemic partnership with the European Union has been built”.

“We are ready to renew our active contacts with the relevant structures of the European Commission, individual European states and companies in the context of the implementation of major international energy projects,” quotes news agency the words of  Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
