Chairman of the Council of Elders of the OTS Binali Yildirim sees huge potential for expanding interaction between Turkic states in politics, economics, transport and other areas. He stated this while speaking at a meeting within the framework of the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which takes place on March 11-13 in Ashgabat.
During his speech, he noted the growing role of the Organization in the light of global development trends and in resolving pressing issues taking place in the OTS space.
In this context, the emphasis was placed on the huge potential for expanding the productive interaction established between the Turkic states in such areas as politics, economics, transport, tourism, youth policy, sports, information and communication technologies, TDH quotes.
The guest also emphasized Turkmenistan’s contribution to deepening partnership relations between the member countries of the OTS.
At the same time, it was stated that Turkmenistan, which has colossal natural resources, including the world’s fourth-largest natural gas reserves, is carrying out enormous work aimed at strengthening the stability of the world economy and global energy security.
At the end of his speech, the Chairman of the Council of Elders focused on the importance of intensifying the joint efforts of the Turkic states for the further development of multilateral cooperation, which in the modern period is reaching a qualitatively new level under the auspices of the Organization of Turkic States.
The meeting within the framework of the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the OTS took place on March 11 in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The agenda of the upcoming 15th meeting includes current issues related to the activities of the Council of Elders and the OTS, further joint work, coordination of the actions of the Organization’s member countries, as well as the implementation of recommendations adopted at the meeting held last year in Samarkand.
