Turkmenistan's GDP in January-September increased by 6.2 percent

 The GDP of Turkmenistan in January-September 2022 increased by 6.2%.  This was stated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at an extended meeting of the government last Monday, which considered the results of the country's socio-economic development for nine months of this year.

 The head of Turkmenistan stated that the results of the work performed in January-September clearly testify to the successful development of the independent Fatherland, despite the difficulties in the world economy.  GDP grew by 6.2%.

 The President also noted that over 20 billion manats of capital investments have been disbursed from all sources of financing, which is 13% more compared to the same period in 2021.

 It was also reported at the meeting that the volume of manufactured products increased by 10.9% compared to the same period in 2021.  The indicator of retail trade turnover increased by 10.5% compared to the corresponding period of last year, foreign trade turnover increased by 40.7%.

 Wages in large and medium-sized enterprises of the country increased by 10.4 percent compared to the same period in 2021.  Wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships have been fully financed.

 The volume of capital investments disbursed from all sources of financing is higher by 12.6% compared to the same period of the past year.

 During the indicated period, the volume of capital investments from all sources of financing allocated for the development of the national economy, in relation to GDP, amounted to 16%. 42.7% of capital investments were directed to the construction of industrial complexes, 57.3% – to the construction of social facilities.
