Last week, 77 transactions were registered at the biddings of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan. Representatives of business circles of the UAE, Turkey, Afghanistan and other countries purchased base oil, low-sulfur fuel oil produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries for foreign currency. Various brands of polyethylene and polypropylene (S.C.“Türkmengas”), as well as urea (S.C.“Türkmenhimiýa”) were traded by entrepreneurs from the Russian Federation, Switzerland, Oman, Afghanistan, China, Uzbekistan and others. Cotton yarn was also sold for foreign currency and dry licorice root extract. Buying countries: Great Britain, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Serbia, Pakistan, Azerbaijan. The total amount of transactions exceeded 51 million 698 thousand US dollars. Entrepreneurs from Russia, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, and Armenia purchased cotton yarn and hand-made carpet products for manats. The total transaction amount is more than 9 million 732 thousand manats. Domestic businessmen purchased high-density polyethylene (S.C. “Türkmengas”) for the domestic market, as well as cotton lint for a total amount of over 43 million 631 thousand manats.
