Prospects for the development of interstate cooperation were discussed during a telephone conversation between the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, TDH reports.
During the conversation, the current state and prospects for the development of interstate cooperation in the trade, economic and fuel and energy spheres were discussed. At the same time, emphasis was placed on the importance of fully utilizing the transport and transit potential of the two countries, the news agency notes.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that at present, the partnership between the two states has reached a qualitatively new level.
The issues related to the implementation of previously reached agreements and the possibility of implementing new joint projects were also discussed.
During the conversation, the interlocutors noted with satisfaction that friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are strengthening.
Taking the opportunity, Hero-Arkadag conveyed warm greetings from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Uzbek leader.
