President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov called on foreign companies to participate in projects in the oil and gas, chemical, energy, transport and communications, and agricultural sectors. The head of state made this address via a digital system at the Investment Forum of Turkmenistan, which is being held in Ashgabat on September 10-11.

"Achieving sustainable economic growth is our main goal. It defines comprehensive economic programs that we are successfully implementing," the President of Turkmenistan continued.

The head of state recalled that Turkmenistan "has already implemented a number of major projects, including the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, a plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in the Ahal velayat, a gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in the Balkan velayat, and the Garabogazkarbamid plant".

The President also said that on Wednesday, “the laying and launch of a number of projects will take place: the Serhetabat-Herat section, which is the main link in the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India project, which we are implementing through our own investments, as well as power transmission, transport and communication lines along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route”.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the country “is taking constructive measures to expand international transport and transit corridors. The oil and gas complex and energy sector of our country are developing in accordance with the demands of the time, and the introduction of digital achievements in them is also being scaled up”.

“At the same time, projects are being implemented in Turkmenistan to generate electricity from regenerative sources - the sun and wind. We also have large investment projects based on high technologies and aimed at producing competitive products,” the head of state continued.

The President expressed confidence that events such as the current Investment Forum will play a significant role in attracting large investments into the national economy and expanding mutually beneficial international partnerships.
