Turkmenistan pays great attention to increasing the pace of the development of the oil and gas industry. Highly qualified specialists play an important role in the development of production in any industry. That is why the President of Turkmenistan pays special attention to the opening of new educational institutions of international level that train highly qualified specialists.

Our country has also established the purchase of equipment from world-famous companies, which allows us to conduct high-resolution three-dimensional seismic studies, including complexes for processing and interpreting seismic data necessary for the oil and gas industry. One of the important tasks set before the specialists of the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation is the development of the largest gas deposit of Turkmenistan – the Galkynyş field.

Currently, specialists of the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation are conducting 3D seismic exploration work at the 3rd stage of the exploration of the Galkynyş gas field, which will supplement the data, obtained in the first two stages, and will also identify new targets for deep drilling.

It should be noted that the production of sweet gas is an important task for specialists in the oil and gas industry. The Malaý field, located in the Lebap velayat of South-Eastern Turkmenistan, has potential sources of sweet gas. As a result of previous drilling operations, a flow of sweet gas was received from the Agarguýi-5, Tajibaý-1 and Çartak-54 wells.

Thanks to the productive and effective work of experienced specialists of the Geological Data Centre of the Türkmengeologiýa State Concern, in 2024, an abundant industrial flow of sweet gas was obtained from the newly drilled Tâçmyradov-2 well.
