The issues of deepening cooperation in the fuel and energy, transport and logistics and industrial sectors were considered during the Turkmen-Kazakh inter-MFA consultations held at the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan on October 9.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Kurbanov, the Kazakh side – by Deputy Foreign Minister Ermuhambet Konuspayev.
The status and prospects of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, where there is solid potential for joint work, were also discussed. The fruitful nature of the meeting of the Turkmen-Kazakh Business Council held on October 8 was noted.
The importance of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation was emphasized.
The parties confirmed their mutual commitment to further intensify bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
The high level of interaction in the «CA+» format, as well as within the framework of international and regional organizations, primarily the UN, was noted. In this context, gratitude was expressed to the Kazakh side for supporting international initiatives and co-authoring a number of UN resolutions initiated by Turkmenistan.
