Summed up the work of the fuel and energy complex for five months

Today, June 8, a reporting meeting was held in the Central building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, chaired by the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myratgeldi Meredov, at which the results of the work of industry enterprises over the five months of 2020, held under the motto "Turkmenistan - Homeland of neutrality", were discussed.  The meeting also examined important aspects of the implementation of the tasks assigned to the oil and gas complex. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the State Committee for Statistics, and the State Commercial Bank "Turkmenbashibank".  In their speeches, they spoke about the current state of affairs in the world in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, the ongoing sanitary and preventive work among the population, aimed at preventing the spread of a dangerous infection. The main indicators of the state of production and the financial and economic activities of the complex for January-May 2020 were also discussed.Vice-Chairman M. Meredov spoke about the tasks set by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the oil and gas industry along with other sectors of the economy at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held last week.Minister of State - Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengas" M. Archaev reported on the work done in five months of this year.  The minister’s report contained information on the implementation of production plans for the specified period at the enterprises of the concern. In particular, it was reported that the State Concern "Turkmengas" continues to work to increase the production of natural gas and related products in large fields, to search for and commission new fields, as well as to increase the productivity of existing wells.The meeting was also reported on the work performed by the Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmennebit" G. Baigeldyev, the Chairman of the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" Sh. Abdrakhmanov, the General Director of the TCOR B. Amanov, as well as the heads of the departments and enterprises of the complex. As noted, the work aimed at further increasing production at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, the Seydi oil refinery, as well as the Kiyanly polymer plant and gas processing complex in the Akhal region.  Information was also voiced about the ongoing construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline.Based on the tasks set by the President, work is expanding to attract new investments in the industry, further deepen cooperation with foreign companies and introduce scientific and innovative achievements in production.The industry meeting also heard reports on the gasification of new settlements in our country, the provision of cars with high-quality and environmentally friendly fuel, on the results of scientific research to increase gas production and exploration of new deposits of the State Research Institute of Natural Gas and of the State Concern "Turkmengas" the Institute  Nebitgazylmytaslama of the State Concern "Turkmennebit", financial and economic indicators of the department" Nebitgazkhizmat "of the State Concern "Turkmengas".At the end of the meeting, Vice-Chairman M. Meredov wished the participants success in implementing the tasks set by the President in the framework of the implementation of the Program for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan until 2030.

Demand for oil in 2022 will grow by 3.3 million barrels per day, the market will be in short supply – IEA

Demand for oil in 2021 increased by 5.5 million barrels per day, and in 2022 it will increase by 3.3 million bpd, Interfax and Bloomberg report citing a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
