A commercial flow of sulfur-free gas has been obtained from production well No. 04 at a gas field in Mary region, TDH reports.
Added to this year's list of significant achievements is the successful drilling to a depth of 2,916 meters and the extraction of natural gas from underground formations at depths of 2,860–2,858 meters. This gas is characterized by high environmental standards and consists of commercially valuable, sulfur-free, pure methane, with a flow rate exceeding 700,000 cubic meters per day.
As is known, the modernization and fundamental development of the Galkynysh gas field play a crucial role in boosting the export potential of the fuel and energy complex, while attracting the attention of leading international producers. Securing this new gas flow demonstrates that the large-scale operations being carried out in this area are yielding results.
This opens up excellent opportunities for increasing hydrocarbon reserves, diversifying energy exports, and establishing reliable, sustainable systems for transporting Turkmenistan’s energy resources to international markets. In this context, great importance is attached to introducing modern, advanced methods and digital systems into the industry, as well as training highly qualified personnel.
The dedicated work of gas industry employees in Mary region contributes to enhancing the country's energy potential. This reinforces Turkmenistan's status on the international stage as a major energy power, holding one of the world's leading positions in natural gas reserves. The country is implementing a far-sighted strategy for the development of the fuel and energy sector, taking into account available hydrocarbon resources and the potential for their efficient utilization. As a result of strengthening the material and technical infrastructure across all entities of the domestic fuel and energy complex, operations in this field are being carried out in line with modern standards.
In recent years, the accelerated development and achievements across all sectors of the national economy—including the oil and gas industry—have played a pivotal role in boosting the country's economic strength. Innovative operational methods are being effectively employed within the fuel and energy complex, serving as a key factor in ensuring the industry's harmonious development.
