Within five months of 2021, the team of the Dashoguz hydrogeological expedition of the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» carried out large-scale work to search for groundwater, clarify its reserves, as well as operate wells in order to provide sufficient water to settlements.

 For January-May of this year, passing under the motto «Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Peace and Trust», the work plan was fulfilled by 129.69%.  In the etraps of Gubadag, Boldumsaz, Akdepe, etrap named after Gurbansoltan eje, research works on a thorough analysis of groundwater were successfully carried out.

 Currently, drilling and research activities are being carried out on the territory of the region in order to study groundwater, aquifers, clarify their reserves, and also study the state of resources.  Recently, in the Ruhybelent etrap and the Niyazov etrap, the experts of the expedition made a geoecological photograph in the dimension 1:50,000.  The pictures taken will help to identify new sources of fresh water.

 At present, the search teams of the expedition continue prospecting and exploration work in the territories of Vas, Shasenem, as well as in remote settlements, studying the structure, quality, composition and possibilities of using new sources of underground water explored in the territory of the region.
