At expanded government meeting, the results of the fuel and energy complex for 9 months were discussed

Last Friday, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital video communication system. There the work for January-September 2021 in all sectors of the economy, including the oil and gas complex of the country, was summed up.
Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhym Abdrakhmanov reported on the results of the activities of the branches under his supervision over the past nine months in the context of the implementation of the Program for the Development of the country's oil and gas industry for the period up to 2030.
It was reported on the indicators achieved in the field of oil and gas condensate production, as well as oil refining. In particular, the plan for the production of gasoline was fulfilled by 108.2%, polypropylene – by 108.4%, and the development of investments – by 104.7%.
Fulfillment of the plan for the production of natural and associated gas amounted to 123.5%, the export of «blue fuel» - 136.2%, the growth rate compared to the same period last year was ensured at the level of 123.3% and 137.5%, respectively.
Having listened to the report, the President focused on the need to solve the tasks set to increase the production indicators of the fuel and energy complex, increase the volume of oil production, and fully utilize the capacities of oil refineries.
As the leader of the nation noted, more attention should be paid to attracting investments in the fuel and energy complex, developing deposits in the Caspian Sea, processing hydrocarbon raw materials. It is also necessary to accelerate the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline and build new processing plants.
The head of state instructed the Vice-Chairman to carefully analyze the activities of the supervised complex and take appropriate measures to establish all work in accordance with modern requirements.
