The products manufactured at the polymer gas chemical complex in Kiyanly have become the main raw material for the production of polypropylene threads, which has recently been mastered by the employees of the Economic Society “Bagtyýar gurluşyk”.
The production of threads was opened in the industrial zone of the members of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Turkmenistan, located in the Ak Bugday etrap of the Akhal region. It produces several types of threads of various colors that meet international standards. The advanced European equipment purchased by the enterprise is designed for the daily production of 22 tons of high-quality propylene threads. The newest equipment is efficiently operated by young workers.
Polypropylene threads are widely used for the manufacture of carpets and rugs, which gives them special strength and retains their shape and color for a long time. These properties of propylene yarns lead to high demand for them. Therefore, ES «Bagtyýar gurluşyk» is negotiating with potential foreign partners, hoping to establish export supplies. The first batch of manufactured products is planned to be shipped to Turkey.
This is one of the examples of how domestic enterprises create new production facilities based on modern technologies and the latest equipment, strive to find their niche not only in the domestic market, but also to establish business contacts with foreign partners to bring products to foreign markets.
Note that polyethylene and polypropylene produced from natural gas at the Kiyanlinsky Polymer Plant are in great demand in the domestic market, as well as in demand abroad, as evidenced by export purchases at the State Commodity and Raw materials exchange auction.
At present, the production of pipes, plastic dishes, toys, textile threads from which carpets, ropes, packing twine and many other products are made from domestic polyethylene and polypropylene have been established in Turkmenistan.
The state concern Turkmengaz, in partnership with foreign companies, commissioned the Kiyanli gas chemical complex in October 2018. The plant's production capacity allows it to process 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year and produce 386 thousand tons of high-density polyethylene and 81 thousand tons of polypropylene.
Moreover, after the extraction of ethane and propane from natural gas used for the production of these products, the remaining 4.5 billion cubic meters of commercial gas are sent to the gas pipeline system.
