Turkmenistan is interested in resolving inter-Afghan conflicts by peaceful, political and diplomatic means, - Foreign Ministry

 Turkmenistan is deeply interested in the political stability and security of Afghanistan, the well-being and unity of the Afghan people, the resolution of conflicts by peaceful, political and diplomatic means.  This position of official Ashgabat was announced on Wednesday by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Khadzhiyev, who headed the Turkmen delegation at the «Moscow format» meeting on Afghanistan, the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.

 V. Khadzhiev also noted that regular meetings in such formats contribute to the development of new approaches and consolidated decisions aimed at ensuring stability on Afghan soil and beyond.

 In this context, the expediency was expressed to intensify bilateral and multilateral contacts with the Afghan side for discussion, exchange of views and, ultimately, an urgent solution to pressing issues of interaction.

 Within the framework of the meeting, special attention was paid to the possibilities of developing a mutually acceptable approach to cooperation with international organizations and financial institutions in the context of their participation in the implementation of trans-Afghan energy, transport and industrial corridors.

 The Moscow format meeting on Wednesday was attended by high-ranking representatives of Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as a delegation of the provisional Afghan government formed by the Taliban.
