The President of Turkmenistan discussed with the head of the Lukoil company the prospects for the development of Caspian fields

 President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Monday met with the head of the Russian oil company Lukoil Vagit Alekperov.  The parties discussed in detail the development of hydrocarbon resources in the Caspian region.

 Noting the fruitfulness of long-standing partnerships with Lukoil, the head of state stressed the interest of our country in introducing innovative environmentally friendly technologies and the best achievements of scientific and technological progress in the industry, where the largest Russian company has a positive experience.

 Having familiarized the President of Turkmenistan with the work of Lukoil in our country and the prepared proposals for the promotion of new joint projects in the Caspian Sea, V. Alekperov assured that the company headed by him will continue to take responsibility for fulfilling its obligations.
