On Thursday, January 13, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Balkan region, during which he visited the Uzynada field and held a meeting on the further development of the oil industry in the region.

Oil and gas field Uzynada located in Esenguly etrap.  There the head of the state examined the powerful equipment used in drilling and exploitation of deposits in the difficult conditions of the Karakum, in the foothills and on the sea coast.

The President was presented with projects that provide detailed information about oil and gas fields, their production capabilities, industrial development of new fields in the Balkan region, including on the coast of the Caspian Sea.

Reports were made by the director of the Institute «Nebitgazylmytaslama» of the State Concern «Turkmennebit» D. Elyasov and the chairman of the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» M. Rozyev.  Information was provided on the work to increase the productivity of deposits in the coastal zone of the Caspian Sea, the results of geophysical surveys in the Balkan velayat, as well as the fulfillment of instructions previously given by the leader of the nation to conduct exploration and drilling operations on the Caspian coast and prepared projects.

Noting that all conditions for exploration and drilling have been created in the Balkan region, including in coastal areas, the President instructed to continue comprehensive measures to fulfill the tasks set aimed at increasing the production of the country's oil and gas complex.

Chairman of the State Concern «Turkmennebit» G. Baygeldiev reported on the state of work at the promising sites Uzynada and Demirgazyk Goturdepe located in the Balkan region, as well as on the productivity of oil wells and the prospects for the industrial development of existing deposits.

Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Abdrakhmanov, noting that the presented projects are related to the productivity of the region's oil and gas fields, their industrial development, as well as the study of promising sites on a scientific basis, reported on the work carried out here.

The Vice-Chairman also showed the head of state samples of oil obtained from new deposits at the Uzynada and Demirgazyk Goturdepe sites, spoke about the features and quality of these oil products.

Then the head of the state held a working meeting on the integrated development of oil and gas fields in the region, strengthening the material and technical base of the industry, as well as introducing best practices, a digital system in the country's oil and gas industry.

As noted during the meeting, the discovery of the Uzynada field confirmed the forecasts of scientists about the presence of promising oil and gas deposits here.  To intensify their development, search and research work is being carried out using advanced technologies.

It was also noted that, in accordance with the instructions of the head of state to discover new oil and gas deposits, prospecting and exploration work is being carried out on the basis of 2D and 3D seismic surveys onshore and offshore of the Caspian Sea.  Thus, industrially significant flows of oil, gas and condensate were obtained at the Uzynada field.  According to scientists and specialists, this site has great prospects.

There was also provided information on the work of the State Concern «Turkmennebit» and the subordinated institute «Nebitgazylmytaslama», as well as the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» on the extraction of additional volumes of oil in the Balkan region in the coming years, a list of upcoming science-based activities was compiled, including major repairs and  construction of new wells at developed fields.

Vice-Chairman Sh. Abdrakhmanov reported on the ongoing work to identify promising regions for hydrocarbons, study oil and natural gas fields, drill wells to develop new productive reservoirs, as well as increase the productivity of existing oil and gas wells.

According to the Vice-Chairman, according to forecasts, the volume of oil reserves in the fields identified by Turkmen specialists at the Uzynada site is 5 million tons.

Having listened to the reports, the leader of the nation noted that today large-scale work is being carried out to diversify the oil and gas industry, all opportunities are being created for the development of the country's huge hydrocarbon reserves.  Favorable conditions have also been created for foreign investors interested in cooperation with Turkmenistan.

Currently, in order to explore new oil and gas condensate fields, increase their industrial development, improve the efficiency of prospecting and exploration in Western Turkmenistan, work is being carried out at the Demirgazyk goturdepe field, which is part of the Uzynada and Goturdepe fields.

It was noted that according to the results of drilling exploration wells at the developed Uzynada field, it became necessary to expand the boundaries of ongoing work and increase the number of productive wells.

The drilling of numerous development wells, along with exploration and research work at the Demirgazyk Goturdepe field, will also help expand the boundaries of ongoing work, increase focal natural resources, and significantly increase the number of productive wells, the head of state said.

Therefore, today the most important are the issues of oil and gas production at newly developed fields, expanding the boundaries of productive areas, as well as exploration and discovery of oil and gas fields.

In accordance with the results of geological exploration work at the Demirgazyk Goturdepe field, as well as in order to ensure the uninterrupted operation of operated wells, the number of which is growing, it becomes necessary to build a gas compressor station here.

The head of the state mentioned that every effort should be made to successfully solve the problems facing the country's fuel and energy complex, and especially for the next two years.

The President also emphasized the importance of increasing oil and gas condensate production and increasing their export potential.

The leader of the nation also noted the need to intensify international cooperation in this direction, introducing the latest technologies and know-how into the industry.  Particular importance should be attached to the training of highly qualified specialists for all branches of the industry.
